Home of the infamous resident ‘disgusted of Tunbridge Wells’ and the natural spring water that gave the town the name of ‘The Tunbridge Wells’ when it was discovered over 400 years ago, this elegant town possesses history and charm in equal measure.
As a regular holiday destination for Queen Victoria, the town earned its ‘Royal Tunbridge Wells’ status and, to this day, it remains a popular destination for many visitors, perfectly positioned as it is within Kent – the Garden of England – and close to the south east coast, in an area known as the High Weald.
Tunbridge Wells is one of the south east of England’s most desirable towns and frequently features within ‘Best places to live’ lists. The Pantiles, in the old part of Tunbridge Wells, is particularly popular, and the town is bordered by parks – including Dunorlan Park and Calverley Gardens - which give way to countryside.
